Menetou-Salon -Prieuré de St Céols- Red -"Cuvée des Bénédictins"

Located in the villages of Morogues, Humbligny and Saint Céols,
the 13 hectares vineyard is planted 2/3 with Sauvignon and 1/3 with Pinot Noir.
All the plots are planted with grass between the row to limit erosion and to
encourage soil microbial life. No herbicides are used and the soil is worked
mechanically under the rows.
The estate is in its 2nd year of organic conversion (Certification for the 2022 harvest).

The nose open with notes of ripe red fruit and jammy fruit, followed by hints of ageing with notes of caramel, cocoa, vanilla and then notes of roasting.

The palate is smooth and creamy. The tannins are silky and well coated. Tha aromas of ripe fruit increase in intensity troughout the tasting.
